The origin of the “Mouvement du 23 Mars – The M23 Movement” or M23 for short isn’t a long one and neither is it a tale of bravery. No, it was joint venture from two parties who was willing to fight a war and cause insurgency in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The M23 was an able body and a well-funded militia from both Kigali and Kampala. They both supported, trained and gave weapons to the fighters battling inside the DRC.
So, that the M23 returns and causes havoc. Then the eyes return to those capitals. Especially, Kampala, as the Ugandan counterpart has had several of soldiers, leaders and contained them for years now. While the M23 claims they never left. However, leaders have been in “exile” in both Uganda and Rwanda since the Nairobi Accords was signed.
Now, that there is meeting between the FARDC and RDF you know they are monitoring and looking over the situation. While the Ugandan counterparts dismisses everything and claims its propaganda. However, both Kampala and Kigali have created M23, and they must take responsibility for it. No matter what happens and when there are reports of helping hands to support the resurgence. There will be even more speculation into who did what and where.
The talks between Kigali and Kinshasa are a smart move of the Rwandese government. Though they can never downplay the origin or the grand support it gave before. The M23 wouldn’t be what it was without them and neither the support from the Ugandan government either. Them both have helped both the leaders and the militia fighters in time of need. They have given military and strategic support, which cannot be questioned now.
The M23 militia and armed insurgency will forever linger back to Kigali and Kampala. Even if the UPDF/CMI has sponsored the for the moment and given way to transport combatants this time around. Therefore, the bloodstains and the general support will forever be part of history of this group.
The M23 can say they were always there and never ceased to exist. That might be true, but they weren’t strong and suddenly an issue before someone gave them more power and ammunition. That is just a mere reality, as well, as suddenly seeing commanders and combatants coming in groups across the borders. The ones who were contained and in a camp within another state’s territory. Therefore, it had to be planned, organized, and funded to do so now. Years after the previous attempts and insurgencies.
M23 will be a wrecking-ball and be an issue for a long time. As long as it has backers and has sponsors for their machine. They cannot just linger on and not have someone supporting it. That is just a mere fact… for the FARDC and government of North-Kivu it is the same who supports and funds the operations. If they cause pain and suffering, uses military might and force. It will be the same results and damage done. That will not change and only the calendar year is changing. Peace.

Since the announcement of the military coup on October 25, our people have announced it every moment and every day with tireless determination, courage and determination that inspires the whole world that the coup will not pass, and that its aspiration for a civil state and a peaceful democratic transformation is irreversible and that its will is irreversible.
In advance, for this purpose, the martyrs, the wounded, and the detainees in all parts of the country.
We, the ministers of the legitimate transitional government, proceed in the same path and do not deviate from it, inspired by the struggle of our people, its living forces, its present and its rich legacy in resisting military dictatorships and bringing them down in three successive generations. We declare the following:
Renewing our categorical rejection of the military coup and all that it entailed. And the call to lift the state of emergency and release the prime minister, our fellow ministers, and all political detainees, without exception.
We affirm our firm condemnation of violence, repression and systematic attacks by the security forces against peaceful demonstrators. And the campaigns of arrests, which affected hundreds of sons and daughters of the people all over the country, and we call for a serious and strict investigation to prosecute the perpetrators involved in the killing of demonstrators and the barbaric assault on them.
– We confirm that the military coup is a reversal of the important achievements of the transitional government, which was to raise the name Sudan is one of the state sponsors of terrorism, debt relief and obtaining billions in grants, and the beginning of the recovery of the Sudanese economy, represented by the stability of the exchange rate, the reduction of inflation rates, the increase in the Central Bank of Sudan’s balance of gold and free currencies, and the noticeable increase in agricultural and animal production.
The coup also halted work in progress on important projects in many sectors such as infrastructure, energy, health and education.
We warn that proceeding with the coup plot will return our country to the circle of international isolation and the suffocating siege that our people have tasted the bitter fruits of for three grim decades.
– We reject the unfair and arbitrary dismissal of civil servants and their replacement with the remnants of the outgoing era.
– We call on all the forces of the revolution to unite and to give priority to the common concern for the future of our country over the secondary contradictions between the political forces to confront the military coup and organize their ranks for the revolutionary escalation until the overthrow of the coup.
– We highly appreciate all the broad international and regional support for the Sudanese people in their valiant opposition to the military coup, and we express our appreciation and support for all the sincere international, regional and national efforts and support for our people’s struggle.
The aim is to search for a way out of the current national crisis, leading to the end of the military coup and the complete liquidation of its effects.

“Addis Ababa, November 10, 2021 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed stated that Ethiopians can overturn current circumstances that are interwoven with biased approaches by various internal and external elements. “As proud Africans, it has never been more imperative we take back the narrative about our continent. As Ethiopians, the challenges we face are further compounded by bias” the Prime Minister noted. In unity we need to and we can overturn the challenges the nation is facing, the Prime Minister underscored” (Fana Broadcasting Corporation – ‘Ethiopians can overturn circumstances with unity: PM Abiy Ahmed’ 10.11.2021).
The actions of the past, the decisions and the policies made by the Prime Minister is why we are here today. This is why there are declared and united armed opposition against the ruling party and elite in Addis Ababa. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali has made his bed and he now got to sleep in it.
Abiy can now scream of unity and of being united. However, he has arrested, tortured and killed his enemies. Abiy haven’t wanted to have any talks or negotiations. The PM has appointed his men and selected his people everywhere. Therefore, this man isn’t a man who you can trust or think will listen to others.
Abiy is a warlord and a man who is willing to decree genocidal war and create a famine to prove a point. Abiy is willing to be a tyrant and arrest anyone who oppose him in Oromia. The PM is willing to make it impossible for the Ogaden opposition to organize and be a viable party in the Somali region. That is what the PM has done in office and he has never ceased with his tyrannical orders. Therefore, what is so unifying about this man?
Well, people are getting unified to get rid of him and stop his reign of terror. This is the man who is behind and the brilliant mind behind the ‘Medemer Terror’. He tricked the world for a minute, but shown his brute ever since. The leadership of Oromia can tell tales of bloodshed, torture, pain and continues suffering.
Abiy has ensured so many people despair and tormented their people. That is not only words, but a mere reality. This is maybe a “sacrifice” in his eyes, but others it was their whole life and their loved ones was never seen again. The PM have no trouble sending youths, retires and whoever “willing” to the front. Meeting a force with strategic minds and use of military tactics to beat a bigger armies. Even with all the odds against them… and advancing as we speak.
The PM went into all of this hubris and self-belief of a quick-brief victory. However, his one year in and losing more by every day. He cannot arrest anyone blinking twice or question his rule. No, if he does so… he will nobody to rule over and neither have any subjects to care about. Yes, he has supporters and a cultist following. Nevertheless, these delusions will take months to detox and treat back to reality.
Abiy has issued death, murder and genocide. The Prime Minister has ensured to get more enemies and less allies. The few he has will not salvage his cause and his rhetoric doesn’t do him any good. As the unification is only valuable for his cause and his orders. This unification isn’t about the people or the continent for that matter. Because, the unified message is for the “sacrifice” and the “campaign of survival”.
Abiy can see more people die to save his face. This PM is willing to send people as cannon-fodder and force them to the front to salvage his political life. The war is not over, but it coming closer to home. The PM has less places to hide and neither does he have the armies to overcome this now.
The PM underestimated the will and the ways of others. Now they are going collectively together to bring him down. The history will not be friendly to Abiy. The lives taken, hurt and people displaced because of this. Will always remember the Head of State and the ones who made this all happen. They know the PM and his government didn’t do the right thing. Instead, the “Law Enforcement Operation” will be a bloody conflict, which stain his legacy. He is lucky if he can runaway and not getting caught by the ICC in the future.
Abiy had the world by the balls and instead of doing good. He decided to go rouge to consolidate all power in his hands. The PM will be known for this and he speak of being unified, but people are getting for other reasons that he can imagine. They are getting behind the banner of getting rid of him and his tyranny. The people are not united to keep him in office. Peace.
