“Are you alright now?… Are you alright now? Can you give me a fuck now?” – Vice President Kembo Mohandi
One of the Vice-Presidents of Zimbabwe Kembo Mohandi have gotten into a pickle. The old man of 71 years is clearly vigorous. As the leaks of phone calls with his “lovers” been released to the public. Surely, the VP didn’t wanted this out in the public. Someone dropped this to hurt him and maybe get someone else promoted or appointed in his place. Since this is making the old man looking “sexists” and “questionable”. The manner, which he spoke to the ladies in question is also showing his true character.
That he has affairs and sexual relations with people is usually personal business. However, when you are an VP there is other standards. Also, the manner, which these leaks have been released shows how he interacts with his “lady-friends”. As these are also married ladies as well. This shows that he doesn’t care or thinks because of his position that he got the magical stick. Since, the young ladies will throw themselves at him and he can enjoy the spoils. This seems like the thing of the VP.
Not that I am shocked that someone like the VP would use his position to get ladies. That is what men like he does. He get the perks of the office. VP Mohandi is not the first or the last. However, the way he spoke and did it wasn’t all that good.
That is why I’m just quoting the Constitution to prove what the VP has possibly violated it.
Article 106 (2b) states:
“106 Conduct of Vice-Presidents, Ministers and Deputy Ministers
“(2)Vice-Presidents, Ministers and Deputy Ministers may not, during their tenure of office—
(b) act in any way that is inconsistent with their office, or expose themselves to any situation involving the risk of a conflict between their official responsibilities and private interests” (Constitution of 2013).
The VP should answer to this article, as it states a vital point for his office. That he shouldn’t have conflict between his official responsibilities and his private interests. We can surely question of making love at the office is a breach of his official responsibilities, as that is all his private interests. His privates are all active, while his using the public office to activate that. This is therefore not only a moral question. As he should answer and atone for his sins where he see fit. Since these woman are reported to be married already. So, this is infidelity, but that both has answer for on their own.
However, the cheating spouse is one issue on its own and if the VP is a cheating hubby himself. That is moral question, which is bad in itself. Nevertheless, the usage of the office and his position as a VP get laid is more worrying. That his searching for the honeypot and the fountain of youth. If not his searching to get his loads off. No matter what he does. He maybe should have been more careful and not as riled off.
Yes, people are busting his balls right now, but that is justified. The old man is a sexist and using his office to solicit sex. That says it all really. It should have consequences for him. Not just bust his balls. Peace.

Commission member Barney Afako explained that signing the cessation of hostilities ceasefire had left “a vacuum” at the community level.
NEW YORK, United States of America, February 19, 2021 – Extreme violence and attacks involving thousands of fighters at a time have engulfed more than three-quarters of South Sudan, UN human Rights Council-appointed investigators said on Friday, warning that the bloodshed faced by civilians are “the worst recorded” since the country’s civil war began in December 2013.
Highlighting a continuing lack of local and national infrastructure almost a year since the formation of the Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity in South Sudan, Yasmin Sooka, Chairperson of the Commission on Human Rights in the country noted that although the signing of the Revitalized Peace Agreement two years ago had “led to a reduction in hostilities at the national level”, the country seen “a massive escalation in violence” locally.
Power vacuum filled by fighting
Echoing that finding, Commission member Barney Afako explained that signing the cessation of hostilities ceasefire had left “a vacuum” at the community level.
“There are no governors in place or no county commissioners in place. So, there is nobody to deal with those cleavages which had remained. Instead what we saw, was that the weaponry that have been left in the community as well as that which is now supplied by others fuelled this communal violence”, he said.
Other worrying developments include restrictions and self-censorship among journalists and pressure groups.
New level of fear
“The level of State suppression and inability of civil society or journalists to operate is now completely different”, said Commission member Andrew Clapham. “There is sort of levels of fear and the State suppression and the fact that you can be picked up and tortured and killed is rather different”.
In its latest report, the Commission describes “waves of attacks and reprisals” that have left hundreds of South Sudanese women, men and children dead, maimed or destitute in Jonglei State and the Greater Pibor Administrative Area.
Ms. Sooka told journalists via video conference that the armed groups and militias had mobilized along ethnic lines, often with the support of armed State and opposition forces.
She highlighted clashes last year between allied Dinka and Nuer militias and Murle pastoralist militias with massive violations against civilians, including killing and displacement.
“We have documented the new levels of militia violence engulfing more than three-quarters of the country at a localized level in which children carry weapons and women are traded as spoils of war like chattels”, Ms. Sooka said.
‘Children all have guns’
The Commission Chairperson said that civilians described combatants using weapons that they had never seen before.
“One man told the Commission, ‘I went to Pibor town and I saw guns being sold there. There the black guns used by the NSS were being sold for 25,000 South Sudanese shillings, each less than a few hundred dollars.’ He also said that children all have guns”, she recounted.
Ms. Sooka also described as “shocking” the high number of fighters involved in localized conflicts and highlighted that women were traded as “spoils of war”.
Moreover, children carry weapons and the levels of violence “have already surpassed” those documented in December 2013, when civil war erupted.
Forced to fight, identities erased
Describing attacks in Jonglei and the Greater Pibor area, she pointed to “systemically and deliberately torched” homes, murders, forced displacements, abductions, rapes, sexual enslavement and, in some instances, forced marriages to captors. Abducted boys have been forced to fight and, sometimes “forcibly assimilated into rival armed groups”.
These victims have had their ethnic and other identities “completely erased”, according to the Commission’s report, which noted that as of December 2020, hundreds of abductees were still missing, with hundreds of thousands displaced by the violence and recurrent flooding.
The Commission on Human Rights in South Sudan is due to present its report to the Human Rights Council in Geneva on 10 March.

In Lilongwe everything isn’t all well. The Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and United Transformation Movement (UTM) coalition government is getting into the same sort of corruption scandals, as the ones who plagued them before with Democratic Progressive Party (DPP and former President Peter Mutharika. It is the same ills. Just another head.
It is still wastage of public funds destined to something good for the commoner, the citizens and everyone who needs it. That is why this is blaring the face of the ones who thought they got something else when the opposition got into power. Right now the President and his associates are doing similar acts, which the current day leader was calling out and dismissing in opposition. They were running wild with Maize-gate and other scandals, which is similar to this. The only difference is who is the head of state and who is appointed as head of the government organizations.
Take a look!
“President Lazarus Chakwera has fired Co-chairperson of the Presidential Taskforce on Covid 19 John Phuka and Commissioner for the Department of the Disaster Management Affairs-DODMA James Chiusiwa, in connection with the mismanagement of COVID response funds. This follows revelations that the larger percentage of the K6.2 billion for Covid 19 response funds, were spent on allowances. There are also fears of massive looting of the funds by controlling officers and heads of clusters who have since been suspended” (Capital FM Malawi, 15.02.2021).
“NEWS UPDATE: The Malawi Parliamentary Conservation Caucus (MPCC) has demanded that government officials involved in the recently exposed illegal charcoal transportation scandal face prosecution. This follows an investigation which Weekend Nation published on January 30, 2021 titled ‘Our sting,’— which uncovered how government organs such as the Malawi Police Service, Ministry of Forestry and Natural Resources, Department of Road Traffic and Safety Services and Malawi Revenue Authority are propelling charcoal trade in the country. The Caucus co-chairperson, Welani Chilenga, said: “Let us not hear of slapped wrists, demotions, or sidewards moves but prosecutions under the full weight of the law.” (Report by Clement Chinoko)” (Nation Online Malawi, 18.02.2021).
Now there is news in co-ordination of President Chakwera is reacting to this. The government are dealing with it, but they are starting an inquiry and investigation of it. However, that is prolonging the agony. Instead of acting swift. Because, that means the President would go after cronies and possible associates in connections to himself. That is why these sort of affairs is tricky. When you follow the money, you don’t know where you ending. Money doesn’t have owners, but it has spenders. This is why people are misusing it and spending funds, which isn’t their in the first place.
For more: “Following the directive by Pres. Lazarus Chakwera, on 14th Feb 2021, that Veep Saulos Chilima must form & lead a special taskforce to review three govt systems of allowances, procurement, and employment contracts, a 14-member taskforce to carry out the assignment has been formed. According to a statement signed by Press officer for the Veep, Pilirani Phiri, the taskforce, to be chaired by Chilima who is also Minister responsible for Economic Planning and Development and Public Sector Reforms, will submit its recommendations to Chakwera within 90 days.askforce will hold first meeting on 25th Feb, 2021 to agree on procedures including action plan with clear timelines. “Thereafter, the team will ensure that the public is regularly engaged & that the taskforce is held accountable by both the President & the people of Malawi.”” (Nation Online Malawi, 19.02.2021).
Well, I have my doubt that this is enough. Especially wondering about their mandate to forward individuals caught thieving and getting kickbacks on behalf of the government. Wonder if they will seek to capture the small-fish, but let the Don of the hook. Because, when its all said and done. We know that big-men is eating and having a field day on the public dime. These ones are shielded and have the power behind them. They wouldn’t do this. If they knew it would cost their careers and livelihood. No, because they know the President and his men is behind them. They are all in it and somehow earning fortunes on it.
Chakwera isn’t different there. Just because his an evangelical reverent by trade. Doesn’t mean his holier than though. That is why he invited his family and inner-circle to get appointed in his cabinet. His just continuing traditions in power and does it without a doubt. The only real difference is that his a fierce speaker and can write statements with flair. That doesn’t change the reality on the ground. When both COVID-19 Funds and Charcoal industry is shady. It just means that the government are letting to hands into the cookie-jar and someone leaked the theft. Peace.
