South Sudan: UNHCR & IGAD – Inclusion of displaced persons in implementation of South Sudan’s peace agreement key to success (11.12.2020)

Today, the Electoral Commission (EC) released a letter where they have summoned Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine of the National Unity Platform (NUP) and Patrick Oboi Amuriat (POA) of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC). This the EC has done on the 10th December 2020 and expect a answer by the time of 14th December 2020.
So, they have summoned these two opposition Presidential Candidates over Standard Operative Procedures (SOPs) and COVID-19 Presidential Guidelines through the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Electoral Commission as guidelines for campaigning.
However, if these authorities, government structures and the security operatives are fair in this manner. Then they should have acted toward the President and his handlers too. The National Resistance Movement and its candidates has breached it steadily during the campaign periode. Not honouring the guidelines. Even if he has closed sessions and smaller meetings, which is public. Nevertheless, the processions, gatherings and other public meetings are still breaching the regulations that is causing issues for Bobi Wine and POA.
That is why this is hypocrisy. COVID-19 or the Coronavirus can only be transmitted through opposition rallies and with opposition supporters. The NRM have herd immunity or something we don’t know. If the Yellow colour is having magical healing power, which the World Health Organization (WHO) haven’t said yet. It should call Museveni, Aceng and the whole Monty Crew to get the remedy.
Since they have not given the same medicine and healing powers which the ruling party has. The EC only calls for the two main challengers. As they are the ones that needs to be made an example. If these rules was meant to be honoured. Shouldn’t the NRM and its own ministers be able to honour itself? Because they are not doing that.
If the COVID-19 and guidelines are so vital… why are the NRM breaching it and with no consequence?
That is why this is hypocrisy… Yes, if these guidelines matter. It should also matter for the ones who has issued it. Not only matter to the opposition. Then its not rules or guidelines. Then it isn’t codes or laws, which is made for everyone. However, by the day it seems these laws are only made to be enforced for some, but worthless for ruling regime.
The yellow colour … must be special. Can someone call WHO up asap. They needs to know this asap. So, they don’t need to stress with vaccines or anything else. Since, the COVID-19 is immune to the colour yellow. The world needs to know this and Ofwono Opondo, Andrew Mwenda etc got to spread the message. ASAP! Peace.

Today President Donald J. Trump through the “deal” or “agreement” made between the Kingdom of Morocco and Israel. Have ensured that the Kingdom can annex the “Southern” provinces or Western Sahara or the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic. Because of the support of the Polisario Front, the government in-exile have claimed the independence and own state. However, the Kingdom of Morocco have claimed it after Mauritania “left it”.
This is why it’s really unfortunate that the Trump Administration in its final stages are arranging a “legal annexation” of Western Sahara. This will further escalate the “cold-war” between the neighbours of Algeria and Morocco. Who already fought the Sand Wars over the same territory. As the Algerian government is supporting the Polisario Front. While Morocco wants to keep a bigger territory. Where they can also enforce its control, extract its resources and sell the fish abroad. Which it does and have done.
This Israel-Morocco deal is surely to give another “victory” in the supposed legacy of Trump. However, this might be remembered for further escalation and cause more problems for the UN Mission in Western Sahara (MINUSRO). A UN Mission which will in trouble and cause issues about brokered peace deal of 1991. This will most likely hurt these endeavourers and cause more harm.
The Government-in-Exile will surely be hit by this and the Algerian allies will react to this. The support from all across the continent will react too. As there been a long history of solidarity across the African liberation movements in support of the independence of SADR. Therefore, today’s actions thwart that.
It is a sad day. As this is throwing a Molotov cocktail into the conflict and probably causing more frictions, tensions and escalations between Algeria-Morocco. Since both parties are invested in it and has their pride in this.
The United Nations needs to mediate. The African Union needs to get active before Algeria, Polisario Front or Morocco annexes it officially. Not only “holding” the territory, but taking full ownership. That would cause such harm and we would have a cross border battle. Also, possibly involve more Republics. As the surge for support of the cause and secure its benefactors.
The Kingdom of Morocco might cheer today. However, that is all false celebrations. As they are colonizing an area, which isn’t their to have. It is the SADR and not “Southern provinces”. Let’s that be clear.
There is a need for solidarity on this and the people of SADR. The Sahrawi deserves recognition. It is their birthright. It is not for Morocco too take. Trump is an erratic bullshitter and ego-maniac. That man doesn’t care about the consequences as long as he gets a cut or pay-off. We can wonder what that is here, but with time the price will eventually leak.
The SADR isn’t something you bargain for cheap. It isn’t a commodity you sell. It is a Republic that shouldn’t be for sale. However, Trump easily sold the Kurds out too. So, this follows a pattern. Peace.

The last Sudanese revolution lasted from 19th December 2018 to 11th April 2019. As the Transitional Military Council (TMC) took control of the Republic. Later with negotiations with the Forces for Freedom and Change Declaration (FCD) lasted into the fall when they we’re able to make a mixed Transitional Government in the establishment of the Sovereign Council. Which still gave a lot of power to the men that toppled Al-Bahir and was his henchmen. Therefore, these leaders and rulers are mostly military fashion and not caring about the will of the people. That is a counter to the ideals of the revolution.
Now it’s two years since the start of the Sudanese Revolution. The citizens are again reviving the ideals of the Revolution. As they are seeing a slow change and nearly none. That being no accountability for the deaths, murders, extra-judicial killings and neither better governance. The Sudanese government is more of the same and only one civilian Prime Minister Abdualla Hamadok. Still, his appointment haven’t given more hope for a transition.
The ones that was skeptical to the ideals and the inception of Sovereign Council clearly see that they we’re right. As the military and former big-men of the dictator got legitimized by doing this. The Transitional Military Council and it’s members have become “state” figures, even as they still rules with the same army command of the past. Therefore, the revolution never got its results.
The FCD and SPA traded their chips early last time and that’s maybe why the Resistance Committee’s is starting a new Sudan Uprising. These RCs are planning to start on the 19th December 2020. However, some Committees have started and preparing their protests on the streets. Burning tires and other means to show support of the failed revolution that got hijacked by the TMC.
The message sent out was this: “Resistance Committees across the country must take utmost security [precautions] and begin serious preparation for the December 19 Millioniya by intensifying advertisements in the streets, raising patriotism, awareness”.
So, be aware there will be more and message is being spread. The public and the RCs are preparing ahead. This might spark the same crowds and possible rebellion in a manner, which we saw in 2018 and 2019. Where the public showed their tiredness and took all means. Just to show the power of all the feet on the ground. The Sudanese people have shown their character before and beaten one dictator. The same people can easily get rid of a temporary one and his Sovereign Council. Peace.

Tonight as many other nights. The Police Force are blocking the gateway or the entrance into a district or town. As Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine had scheduled a rally in Nwoya town, which didn’t happen. Neither the accommodations in Nwoya as well.
Again the District Police Commander blocking the roads and ability for the campaign to pass. Also, the Residential District Commander Beatrice Akole not allowing them. As they have used tear-gas and ammunition. They have even hurt a citizen by doing so.
Another day, another injustice served in the manner, which is disgraceful and distasteful. As the campaign of Bobi Wine is hit with new hurdles everyday. It doesn’t matter where he goes or what he does. The trouble comes to him and aimed at his people. His guards and associates are charged with foolish charges. Spending time behind bars, while the culprit behind the state sanctioned violence are let of the hook.
The NUP convoy and caravan is blocked from accessing venues, but also hotels. This is the latest edition of this. After another long day for the Presidential Candidate. As his blocked to get access to hotel, yet again.
These authorities have no scruples and no care. Not even give a man a shelter and a few hours on the eye. No, they letting him sleep roadside and telling him to move-on to the next district. Like they are likely to house him. This just show the despicable acts of this government. The continued impunity and misuse of power. Peace.

“Opposition Forum for Democratic Change has expelled three of its prominent members including National Political Mobilizer Ingrid Turinawe, Darius Tweyambe and Winnie Babihuga after they stood as independents following their loss in the party primaries” (Voice of Kamwenge FM, 10.12.2020).
The Forum for Democratic of Change (FDC) has put their foot down towards three Independent candidates who lost in the internal party primaries earlier in the year. Ingrid Turinawe lost to Dr Warren Katoora Tumwine for the MP Rukingiri Municipality.
Another one of these three was Winne Babihuga who also lost in Rukungiri, as she was standing as the Woman MP. She lost to the incumbent Betty Muzanira.
While the final independent Darius Tweyambe lost his mayoral race in Rukungiri Municipality to the incumbent Charles Makuru.
What is unique is that two of them is close associates and been part of the People’s Government. Turinawe and Tweyambe have worked close to Besigye. These two are the ones who has worked for years together with him. Turinawe as a mobilizer and Tweyambe as the Chief Campaigner. Therefore, these two are “high ranking” though not in official capacity.
These have been in- and out of jail because of their consistent work for the party. Turinawe and Tweyambe knows how politics plays out. As they have been so involved. At one point Turinawe was house-arrested and had to barricade herself out of her own home. So, if someone knows the pain of association. These two knows it well.
This should affect them, but also the party. That other parties are throwing their arms around them wouldn’t be shocking either. As these are the stalwarts that is ready for the big-league. They have lingered close-by, but never gotten the titles. Yes, they are involved in the People’s Government. However, that doesn’t amount to much in the coming election.
These are the sort of hard-liners and opposition who are fierce and has ability to cause issues. I know I haven’t mentioned Babihuga, but there are not so much say there.
That these three would stand or other losing primaries as independents. Shouldn’t shock anyone. If these was NRM. They would seek refuge under the skirt of Museveni and find another shelter coming 2021. These candidates would have asked for an appointment and a plum-job. However, in the opposition its little to nothing to gain.
Turinawe and Tweyambe can now decide what they do. Most parties are already settled and the nomination period is over. Their allegiance after the elections is all up to them. That is if they want to return to the party or if they are over it. As they have gotten no favours, but lost their positions.
Yes, they are known characters and shown resilience. However, that isn’t enough and they could not spark popularity within their party in their own district. That is why they have lost. These are all from Rukungiri as well.
Defiance is apparently in them. The FDC have shown their hand. Though very late in concern with the campaigns and the polls. Also after the nominations and everything. It is a bit late, but it sends a signal. That the party doesn’t accept defiance within their own. Which is fine, as these folks didn’t honour the results of the primaries. However, choose go ahead and run against the same people again in the General Election. That says it all really. Peace.
