Papua New Guinea: Leader of the Opposition – Transition to New Government Coalition Underway – Calls on Outgoing Prime Minister to Accept Defeat with Dignity (15.11.2020)

The Bushiri Escape is straight outta of a movie..

Sometimes things are to good to be true. There are some stories that sounds like fiction, but is still happening in real life. In this instance, the story of Prophet Shepard Bushiri is one of those.

Yes, the man is the definition of a pastorpreneur, who set up churches like a business. The man is using the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) and the Prophetic Channel as his company, which he profits massively from. This is the hustle of the man and his family. Both in Malawi and all the way to South Africa.

In South Africa, the authorities has charged the pastor for money laundering. The pastor has gotten bail with some strings. However, for some obvious reasons he has still been able to flee. Not by the plane of the President of Malawi. Who was passing by on a brief working visit. Even if there was speculations about that.

There are more likely ways he has done it. As he has been part of a Car Thieving Enterprise or a Syndicate who exports stolen cars from South Africa to Malawi. In this instance he fled through the borders together with sophisticated thieves. Straight out of a movie. “Gone in 60 Seconds – Bushiri Edition”. A road movie gone totally wrong.

Yes, a pastor/prophet should hang out with thieves, sinners and the lower class of society. That is to show interests in their plights and their needs. Also guide them to a better life and redeem themselves. However, if he joined these criminals. He most like entertained and bribed himself out of it all. Yet, again continuing to do illegal stuff to get away from money laundering charges. That is not repenting, but adding more sins. “Thou shall not sin” instead more “thou shall sin”.

Prophet Bushiri is in a league of trouble by doing this. He might been able to string along the flight, the ability to cross the borders and enter Malawi. However, why does he has a connection to thieves selling illegal imported vehicles? Is the reports true that he got a diplomatic passport? Why does a prophet have a diplomatic passport? Why did the judge accept the conditions of the bail? Is it true that the judge of this case is a member of his ECG church in South Africa?

Because, there are so much going on. The Malawi government haven’t entertained anything. While the South African authorities now have to issue orders and negotiate an extradition of Bushiri from Malawi to return for prosecution and face the charges on him. While he might have caused more counts of criminal cases as a fleeing suspect and involving himself with other criminal activity. This is all not good look on a pastor. Who is supposed to look holier than thou.

Prophet Shepard Bushiri only looks more guilty by fleeing and being a fugitive running away from the law. This is not the message and the thing that should haunt a prophet or a “Man of God”.

The way he fled and by the means of doing so… should be a movie. Also a lesson in how not to run a church and use the donations to the “works for God”. Because, this seems illegitimate and insincere at best. When he goes with criminal syndicates to be able to flee from a Court Case. That is what I am seeing…

Prophet Bushiri should know better, but he used his station and possible laundered money illegally out of South Africa back to Malawi. That is something he got to answer too and address in the Courts. Not run away, because that suspects his ill intent and also his guilt.

He needs to be brought back to South Africa and face justice. His not above the law. The man could have used his ministry for good, but instead sponged on it. If he was sincere and honest. The man would have stood tall in the Courts and not fled with a bunch of thieves. Peace.

Opinion: Prime Minister Abiy have opened up Pandora’s Box!

Pandora’s box comes from the ancient Greek story about a character named Pandora, who was given a box as a wedding gift but was ordered not to open it. Eventually, curiosity overcame her and she opened the box, releasing death, evil, and misery into the world. The term Pandora’s box was first used in English to refer to something that could cause many problems sometime around 1570” (MacMillan Dictionary Blog – ‘Pandora’s box’, 2017).

On the 3rd November 2020 he ordered the army to attack Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF). It is now on the 12th day of the civil war between the Federal Government (Prosperity Party) versus the TPLF. Prime Minister Ahmed Ali Abiy is terming this as an “Operation Law Enforcement” and to regain “Rule of Law”. While not deeming it as war or warfare, even has his ordering soldiers, airstrikes and direct military operation in the regional state of Tigray.

This is why the Tigrayan civilians are fleeing the region to Sudan. Why the Tigrayan citizens are banned, arrested and silenced in the public sphere. The Federal Government isn’t only going after the TPLF, but everyone who has the ethnic background. So, the PM is taking more of ills from Pandora’s Box.

Prime Minister Abiy opened Pandora’s Box and all the ills went out of it. The hope is left behind. The PM wasn’t supposed to open it. He was given the box and wasn’t told not to do so. However, he still did it. The PM went to war and now the affects will appear. The ethnic angle, the horrific massacres and human rights violations will be revealed down the line. When the refugees is speaking and investigations into the acts of the parties are unleashed to the public. Because of the media blackout, the telephone and lack of internet. There is little to nothing coming out, except for the narrative the state wants to have out.

This is why we don’t know all the pain, the suffering or the dire needs in the region, as the state is closing it off. The little coming out is in favour of either party and alleging the caused it. While we cannot know who did it or what went down. Both parties has reasons to dismiss and claim otherwise to look better in the public perception. To make the other party look evil or causing war-crimes. Therefore, at this point … it is hard to know, if it is this or that.

However, when the Prime Minister opened Pandora’s Box. He wouldn’t know what ills and evil would come out of it. Now there is bombs in Massawa and Asmara of Eritrea yesterday. Some claim it was missiles from Tigray, other local detonations. There has also been attacks on Gondar and Bahi Dar this week. Therefore, it wouldn’t be shocking if there was sudden explosives in Addis Ababa to attack government facilities or things dear to the heart of the Prime Minister. As a retort to the attacks in Tigray. That is natural in the circumstances of war and warfare. Not its fair to innocent civilians, but neither is airstrikes and battles in own communities done by government soldiers who are supposed to protect them in the first place.

This is why the box is now haunting the Prime Minister. He opened the lid and let it all out. The PM cannot return it now. Especially, as he whole heartedly believes he can finish his mission and contain the TPLF. He thinks he has the upper-hand as he also will be aligned with Eritrea to beat the TPLF. However, whatever Sudan decides to do will be crucial. As they are feeling the aftermath and the costs of sheltering fleeing civilians. Which are the citizens the PM is supposed to protect.

That is why there is no true winners of war. Only losers, the ones that lost less is the winner. The one who overcome the tragedies and horrific events.

Pandora’s Box have been opened and the effects of it is happening right now. Peace.

Ethiopia: Tigray Community of Illinois – A call to the International Community for Action Against an all-out-civil war in Ethiopia (13.11.2020)

Opinion: Tumwebaze, you don’t want us to look into Sevo

Hon. Frank Tumwebaze stated on social media that we should “….Lets us deeply interrogate electoral promises of every candidate on the basis of logic & reality….” That’s not a joke, but the reality we are living in. A man of the cadres, a man who has been appointed and been a loyal servant of the President is saying this.

Like do the man wants us to undress President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni?

That would be very easy, as the old man with the hat has said everything and nothing. The man has been in the public sphere since late 1970s and been in office since 1986. He was even Vice in the Military Council before the 1980s Elections.

So, since FRONASA, UPM and NRA days there been countless of promises and pledges. The President has promised wealth, security and development in all corners of the Republic. This President has said he would fix everything and ensure greatness. However, that has never appeared. As the state has only delivered patchwork and some sort of achievements, but never to the extent of the promises. This is why the President and the NRM have come with big plans like the 10 Point Programme, but haven’t implemented it. The same with the Uganda National Development Programme I, II and soon the III. Also Vision 2020 and Vision 2040.

Therefore, the President and his pledges are falling short. It seems like these programs and plans are shortlists for hopes that foreign donors and multi-national organizations can foot the bills. So, that the government and President can take the possible glory of achieving it. This is just like the big ceremonies for opening minor roads in urban areas of late, which was funded largely by development program from USAID.

This is why the President and Tumwebaze shouldn’t interrogate other campaigns. When the President and the party have never followed their own pledges. That is throwing stones in a glass house. It is not a good look Frank… really a shoddy and weak tea.

Tumwebaze should know better, as all big promises comes with all publicity and the flair, but the delivery falls flat. Just like the garden hoes of 2015 and the sanitary pads too. We can await the village radios and TVs. The state couldn’t even finish or properly give food to people staying home during lockdown.

The NRM should look into itself and what they have said an done. They always expect the opposition to be better than them. The state and the NRM expects the opposition to deliver and be totally direct. That they are supposed to balance the budget and be fiscal responsible. When the NRM is driving the economy to a halt and lacking funds to pay salaries for the civil servants.

So, please Tumwebaze clear your own shop before dissecting other people’s campaign. Yes, people should look into the opposition and what they pledges. However, Frank knows perfectly well that he wants to dismiss and disregard the opposition.

Frankie Frank, should chill and this only shows the dire need for change in the Republic. When someone wants to do this to others, but never be accountable for own shortcomings. This is a government who has run the Republic for 35 years. Still, promising the same things as it did when it took power. That shows weakness and not greatness.

The NRM and Museveni is a failure. It is just a matter of how much you want to see … or how much you want to forget. Peace.
