Ethiopia: Office of the Prime Minister – Distinguishing TPLF from the People of Tigray (18.11.2020)

“Police has arrested NUP presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, and taken him to an unknown place. Bobi Wine has been arrested at his campaign venue in Luuka District following a scuffle between his supporters and security” (97.8 Kazo FM Omushomesa, 18.11.2020).
Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine have been stopped in his tracks. The National Unity Platform (NUP) and People Power Movement Presidential Candidate have now been arrested. After the police and law enforcement have cracked down on the campaign rally of Bobi Wine. They have also arrested journalists and others. While tear-gassing the venue and such.
This is the difference between the “real” opposition and the ones who are running for the ruling regime. That the opposition will be incriminated and they will pin charges on you. While the ruling regime can do similar actions, but not get any crackdown from the authorities.
Today, it’s Bobi Wine. Tomorrow it’s someone else who dares to challenge the throne. They will either use the means of Public Order or COVID-19 as an excuse to arrest him this time around. A systemic way to oppress and silence the opposition.
Bobi Wine have been lucky that this didn’t happen before… he has been blocked and tear-gassed, but not arrested. So, that it lasted this long was luck in a way. That the authorities waited this long. Because, when you do challenge the State House or the “High Above”. Expect to be punished and suffer. There will be consequences…
These consequences we are seeing today. Bobi Wine isn’t the first to be here and will not be the last. Especially, if the state is able to contain the popularity and the campaign of NUP. That is what they want. While they want to look like a winning team, yet again.
We can easily see that Bobi Wine is the main target and the ones who gets the brutal treatment from the state. He is the man who is the competitor and have the message, which the state wants to silence.
This is just the way they operate and have done for years. Expect some ridiculous charges, excuses and a mockery of “trial”.
It is now reported that Bobi Wine is detained at Nalufenya Police Station in Jinja district. However, the case will go nowhere and its just a phony act to stop him from campaigning. Peace.

“Should you become the President, if you want, buy a lot of swimsuits and swim when the floods come” – President Rodrigo Duterte addressing Vice President Leni Robredo
In the last few days Vice President Leni Robredo have worked on sites at typhoon hit areas after the ‘Goni’, ‘Rolly’ and ‘Ulysses’. She has been out to the areas and been a public face in the midst of trouble for the citizens in these areas. With this she has proven her character and been vocal to get more help for the ones in need. That has hurt Malacañang Palace and President Rodrigo Duterte.
We could clearly see by the statement of the live nation address and the 20 minutes long infuriated rant on her. Instead of addressing the needs of the people. The President was focused on her and was lying. He was trying to forge a narrative and wasn’t sincere. That because he wants to have the glory and be the big-man. Accordingly, Leni was his target because of her efforts after these storms and typhoons.
Clearly, Duterte pride was hurt as Robredo has been in the field and acted like a public servant. This is something that makes him look and indecisive. He knows that this make him look weak and not capable. As she is out there and participating in the emergency response to the affected areas of the typhoons.
Yes, Duterte is a President. A head of state and doesn’t have to be everywhere and cannot be everywhere at any time. Just like any other person. However, if he wanted to show his face and be with some of the ones who are hurt by the typhoons. He could have taken a day-trip without it hurting the programs, the plans and the scheduled affairs of the Presidency. Yes, the old man could be afraid of COVID-19, but his supposed to be in Davao. A region that is hit hard with the sickness and he cannot be sheltered from it forever.
President Duterte was in the wrong. To ask for accountability of each other is fine. However, using lies and misogyny has no place. That the President uses this to make himself look good. Is just a dumb move. If he wanted to look great. He should have taken a trip and been visible. Everyone understand that he cannot always go and has business to attend too. Nevertheless, that cannot be reason all the time. Especially, in crisis like these and where the Republic is hit with more and more troubles.
Leni Robredo isn’t the one who usually tends and attends things correctly. The VP has created unnecessary storms and conflicts, because she haven’t done the right thing. Where she haven’t filed the right papers or informed the authorities accordingly. Therefore, she can be wrong too. It is not about that. I’m not a great fan of Robredo. No, I am not, but here Duterte is off the rails.
Duterte should not get away with this. This sort of behaviour isn’t cool, it isn’t funny and shouldn’t be a thing. Rodrigo should act like a man and not like spoiled brat. That is seeing someone else is playing with his toys. He better get a grip and maybe even talk to the VP. Give her a call and apologize. Because, this is beneath his station. The rant shouldn’t have happened. The man should know better. Would the man accept this sort of talk about his daughter [Sara Duterte] and Mayor of Davao? I doubt he would accept it. He would hunt the man down… asap.
Therefore, when we knows. The President should pay amends and also see what the VP have done of late. Which has been the right thing for the same government that his serving. The President and VP serves the same government and is responsible for the same citizens.
President Duterte, this was wrong and dumb. Your better than this. I hope, because this isn’t cutting it. Peace.

Prime Minister Ahmed Ali Abiy ordered this war on the 3rd November 2020. A direct war to annihilate and get rid of the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF). Where he has attacked a state, a region and used all military force to sustain this. That is using the Federal Army and their weaponry to combat the Tigrayan forces. Therefore, we can easily assess that the Prime Minister isn’t a man of peace anymore.
PM Abiy is a man who like the glory, the publicity and being in the spotlight. He favours being a donor darling and a man of the West. A man who can get support from allies across a variety of nations and be respected for him name. Alas, now he is yet another war-lord. Another man who arrests, detains and get rid of opposition. We know this from the brutal battles and actions done in Oromia. Where he has gotten rid of and detained anyone who oppose him.
In Tigray he went to a full out war over a Constitutional Dispute and didn’t want to mediate or negotiate with the former allies of TPLF. He has worked with the TPLF for ages and been associated with them in the Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Defence Front (EPRDF) government, but we are supposed to forget that fact too.
Therefore, Abiy knows his “enemies” and know their structure. The man know how they work and operate. He has worked close with them in the past and knows their “Special Forces” and now deemed them militias, because they cannot be associated with the Federal Army anymore. That is because of the sudden changes and decisions made Addis Ababa over the remain fractions in Mekelle. This is just the bleak reality in this.
Because of the ego of Abiy is the reason why we are here. He wants to end on top and be supreme. The man wants to be the hero and look like a majesty. Prime Minister Abiy wants to be King or an Emperor. This is why anyone not abiding to his words and his orders deserves retribution. That is why the Oromo has suffered and now the Tigrayans are doing it too.
Abiy is avenging himself on all Tigrayans, while his only supposed to sanction and go after the TPLF. The PM is using all means to punish them and even take away their jobs because of their ethnicity.
This was all over an constitutional dispute, an election in September and suspension of it federally because of “COVID-19”. While there is no issues ordering a war in the same time-frame and make more people either internally displaced or become refugees in Sudan. The PM is clearly very fixated on total control and that’s why his hunting after the TPLF at this point.
Even if the Prime Minister wins this war. His still a lost soul. Nobody honestly can trust him. He kneeled and greeted the opposition. Later he arrested, detained and charged them maliciously. Now, his going after the former allies… who he has made his enemies. That is why he attacked Dr. Tedros Adhanom and claimed all sort of behavior while his working as the head of the World Health Organization (WHO). That’s all happening for one reason: Dr. Adhanom is a high ranking official in Executive Committee of the TPLF and suddenly that makes him a target of Abiy. Like everyone else in the TPLF is that by association. Not a good look…
The truth about who Abiy is now out. His not a man of peace, but yet another War-Lord and the ones who stands in his way will be silenced. That is image and the perception he now has unleashed. His not a man of honour, but a man who finish of his critics and opposition with an iron fist. Peace.

Fred Mukasa Mbidde, the man seeking the office of Member of Parliament in Masaka City, the former Masaka Municipality. Where the incumbent and former Democratic Party MP Mathias Mpuuga is running for another term under the National Unity Platform and directly supporting Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine. Something Mbidde does now suddenly too, even as his boss Norbert Mao is running for Presidency too.
It is like Mbidde is trying to act like he cares about the People Power and NUP. When in reality, the man couldn’t give an rats ass. This man only gives his support for Bobi Wine for clout and chasing relevance. That is why he lost to Mpuuga in the last election too.
Let’s be clear. Mpuuga is a honest fighter for justice. Not because he jumped ship early to the NUP. No, because he has fought the good battle since the days of Walk to Walk (W2W) and been part of Action 4 Change (A4C). That all happen before he became a MP and someone of leader. Therefore, if Masaka chooses principals and true leadership. Than I vouch easily for the likes Mpuuga.
However, Mbidde is a man who seeks glory of others and wants a easy way out. This is why he searches and throws his support to Bobi Wine. That because the man knows his popularity is much more than of Mao.
Just like Mbidde knew it was wise to throw support and join the ranks of Museveni in the days before the EALA elections. That is why he was at the State House at the NRM Primaries and guested the festivities there. Just to ensure he could be the DP candidate for EALA. Which in the end he did.
Now in 2020 his fishing again. This time in a city and a municipality where he last before to Mpuuga. A man who is directly associated with Bobi Wine. Alas, it seems very fishy that he does it. Now that he starts campaigning.
This is the sort of political gambit, which is done only to benefit his cause. Mbidde doesn’t care about the Presidency or the battle against Museveni. This man has eaten with Museveni and gotten a good job in the EALA Assembly. Therefore, this man is just looking for another sweet-job with all the perks.
That is why he does this. Mbidde isn’t trustworthy in this. He has dined with the NRM and enjoyed the gifts he got. Now, he hopes to do this here too. Just much easier and hoping the public is gullible. However, they shouldn’t forget.
This man does whatever to get a meal-ticket, be relevant and have a office to go too. What happened now is just another twist. Another turn, which he hopes he doesn’t get exposed. Nevertheless, people shouldn’t forget how he became an EALA MP in the first place. That was because of his affiliation with the NRM and because in the end.
We all know his an “Good DP” who now tries to associate himself with the “Bad DP”. So, who is he kidding here? Only but himself… Peace.

“NRM has done its work well. Talk about it proudly. We had shortages of sugar, soap, beer, sodas, cement and all other essential goods. Today we are talking of surplus of all those and our problem is marketing them. How can you say NRM has done nothing when shops are full of products?(manufactured here)” – Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in Gulu (16.11.2020)
For being a man of so many promises, pledges, programs and development schemes. Him celebrating that there is goods in the shops and filled with localized products. Like that shows the growth, the greatness and the affirm leadership under him. That is just like Mwenda counting cars. It is the same sort of empty, wokoloso “hot-air” argument.
Banage, bambi… I would think a President of 35 years would have more to give. That a man who has run a Republic since 1986 would have more than soap, sugar and cement. If that was the industrial enterprises he would have offered. The man should surely have privatized most businesses, stopped the government control of produce and also industries themselves. This to get foreign investors, but also to get a hand in the pocket in any business deal there is. Therefore, to celebrate that shops has products is just weak tea.
The President could have said that he delivered things, but saying he brought maize flour and rice to the shops isn’t great, but expected. That the shops has air-time, bottled Rwenzori Water and Garden Tea shouldn’t be seen as superior, but that is normal trading. This isn’t something to scream of joy.
To celebrate this … is to celebrate bear-minimum and nothing else. It is like celebrating that people aren’t starving and are able to have nutritious diets. That should also be ensured and that nobody goes hungry. People should have food, shelter and water. Also, the opportunity to work and able to assemble political, religiously and get entertained, if possible. Therefore, to celebrate that there are units of goods in the stores isn’t a sign of a victor.
That is mediocrity. That is just not it. If that is what he says is good governing. He has lost the plot and lost his mind. This is not it. Unless, he wants to skate between the various of state lodges and State Houses to chill. That makes sense, because if his a lazy bugger in his advanced age. I don’t blame him. The man should have been retired already, just like the average civil servant. However, this man thinks his special.
Even if his offerings and his time in office hasn’t delivered. If having a Coke and Pepsi is a sign of what he has achieved. He surely have achieved little to nothing. The man should aim better and should have delivered much greater to the public. Especially considering the years and time he has had. Alas, that hasn’t been the priority, but everything else has been.
The President cannot bash himself in glory over this. That just shows his fatigue and his lack of concern of the people. He is just going through the motions and hope nobody breaks things down.
Well, what else could we expect? It is not like he has built a grand empire or a legacy worth a damn. No, it is all a game of longevity and surviving in power. It is not about delivery and being the best statesman ever. That ship has sailed and he gave up on that. The Self-Styled President for Life wouldn’t share, but prefer to eat all by himself. Peace.

Just as there been reports of shelling from the Eritrean side of the border towards the Tigray Region. Also been reports of usage of United Arab Emirates Drones to conduct warfare and missions within the Tigray Region. The international sphere and neighbours are intervening in the 13 day long war between the Federal Government under Prime Minister Ahmed Ali Abiy of the Prosperity Party and the fight against the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF).
We know that Sudanese has closed the borders. They are not interfering, but have tried by the Sovereign Council to get IGAD to mediate in the conflict. However, Abiy have dodged that and dismissed the calls from Khartoum. The PM on the other hand has gotten a heads-up and a thumbs-up from Djibouti. As they are coming with an helping hand and in solidarity.
Now there is reports of further escalation:
“November 16, 2020 (Thessherald)–The Office of the Ethiopian Prime Minister has reportedly sent a letter – requesting 4,000 troops from neighboring South Sudan as the armed conflict escalates in the Tigray region, a senior government official told Thessherald. “Yes, the Ethiopian Prime Minister has requested us to help them bring orders in their own country by contributing at least 4,000 SSPDF soldiers to fight alongside their forces,” said the official, who requested anonymity for fear of reprisal” (The South Sudan Herald – ‘ETHIOPIA REQUESTS 4,000 TROOPS FROM S. SUDAN AS VIOLENCE REACHES BOILING POINT’ 16. 11.2020).
This is like asking for a “half” division or a regiment of troops to support the ones who is already there. We know that the Prime Minister is already trying to enlist students and let them abandon Universities to join the National Army. This has been leaked through letters, which shows the state intention with this war. As well, as there been troops moving from Somalia and gotten moved all the way to Tigray region. Therefore, the state using its means to combat the TPLF.
That is why it’s not shocking that the PM would ask this. As he would ask for mercenaries and soldiers of fortune to fight his battle in Tigray. That he would use South Sudan People’s Defence Force (SSPDF) to participate in their “Operation Law Enforcement”. If the ones believe in its simplistic targets and quick-fix mandate. Must be seriously rocked to its core, knowing the back-channel to Juba to ask for reinforcement. This together with the shelling and the usage of UAE supported military gear. That is all using all friendships of Abiy to annihilate the TPLF and bomb the region into pieces.
We should worry the way the Prime Minister Abiy is using his allies here. That will make the battles and the suffering more decisive as he intends to use all means to annihilate the enemy. There will be no soft touch, but brothers with hasty trigger-fingers. They will pull the hammer and ensure the men is down.
That he has used this diplomatic capital in Asmara, Khartoum, Djibouti City, Dubai and now trying to get something out of Juba too. Who knows of new Foreign Minister Demeke Mekonnen was on a mission to secure more help from Kampala and Nairobi as well. Since, they might not leak that out, but done in closed doors meetings with Museveni and Kenyatta. However, they wouldn’t say this that quickly. Because, that would look bad at this current time.
We can see that the PM is using all means, that he sends birds with a message to get help from Juba, South Sudan. That says it all. This says that the PM is willing to have mercenaries and soldiers of fortune to fight his war. A war that he says is easy to win, but if it was so easy too win? Why do you need foreigners to do it for you? Don’t you have enough soldiers and arms to kill the dragon?
Well, it seems like his seeking superiority with hired guns. That is not a good look and this is why the source wanted to be anonymous. Peace.
