EFF Condemns Appointment of Maria Ramos to the Interim Board (10.07.2019)

Another day, another bail hearing for Besigye’s Treason Charges: By the next trial date lasting a total of 1208 Days!

On the 13th May 2016 at Moroto Magistrate’s Court the judge charged Dr. Kizza Besigye with treason for declaring himself President after the General Election of 2016. Which have now been prolonged for the longest. The National Resistance Movement, the Police Force and the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) have insisted to continue the case.

This is really showing the enforcement and how the state is monitoring the opposition leader. They are using this case to monitor the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) leader and always have an excuse to know where he is.

Just take a look:

Nakawa Chief Magistrate’s Court has again issued criminal summons for former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) president, Dr Kiiza Besigye, to face charges of treason” (…) “The magistrate issued criminal summons against Besigye and adjourned the case to September 2, 2019, for mention. The prosecution alleges that Besigye between February 18 and May 11, planned to forcefully ascend to the Office of the President when he declared himself the elected president of Uganda” (Michael Odeng – ‘Court issues criminal summons against Besigye again’ 10.07.2019, New Vision).

Why is this amazing, because of the 13th May 2016 is far, far away. The case will be by that time over 3 years old, 3 months and 21 days or about 1208 days in total. Some would say this case has been lasting 39 months and 21 days. If this continues like this, the treason charge and case will last into 2020 like a sore thumb.

This just shows the mediocre ways of the NRM and their authorities. They just have to prolong this, because they got to. They still fear Besigye and what he represents. This is why they will make it clock into 2020 and even 2021. They have already surpassed 3 years and 3 months by September 2019, which is a feat in itself. Peace.

Opinion: Kenyan MPs wants to live lavish on the publics dime!

“For this end Africa needs a new type of citizen, a dedicated, modest, honest and informed man. A man submerges self in service to the nation and mankind. A man who abhors greed and detests vanity. A new type of man whose humility is his strength and whose integrity is his greatness”Kwame Nkrumah

The Kenyans Members of Parliament is showing no bound in the roads of greed. They are so actively finding ways of eating. It is outrages. They are making new ways of showing their only intent for representing the public. To get rich and get rich quick. The MPs want to live lavish and posh on the dime of the public. That is what they are initially doing with these pay raise, the cars and the extreme high rates of allowances to even show up at work.

The MPs seemingly doesn’t care about the plights of the common man, when they are fine dining and eating good. They couldn’t care less about the farmers who cannot afford seedlings or even having markets to sell their produce. When, they are driving in expensive SUVs and can afford imported goods on the daily. They don’t have to mind or even see their constituents before the next general election, as they are living in the highest comfort like an CEO or Executive Director in mansion in Nairobi.

Just look!

“Members of Parliament (MPs) want the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) to reinstate and increase several allowances that the commission scrapped, in an audacious move that could raise their salaries from the current Sh1.1 million to between Sh2.1 million and Sh2.9 million a month. In a memorandum to the SRC seen by the Nation, lawmakers are seeking to have their car grants doubled from the current Sh5 million to Sh10 million, increase their mortgage entitlements, extend their medical cover to more than one spouse and retain huge car maintenance and mileage allowances” (Samwel Owino – ‘Greed at its peak in MPs new demands to enrich themselves’ 09.07.2019, Daily Nation).

This is what the Tuko Pamoja and the Jubilee government excelling in, either graft or greed. They are not civil servants nor public officials, they are eating and scraping the plates. They are offering themselves riches, but not fixing the basic issues for their citizens. They are preoccupied with getting wealthy for a representative position. These people clearly doesn’t care about the well-being of the citizens, when they are giving themselves this wealth and riches for representing their constituents and the Republic.

We can act like it doesn’t matter, but it does. It shows their priority, which is their own stomach before the public. Their title, their wealth and their possible enrichment on public office is direr, than fixing the hospitals, roads and what else that is broken in the Republic. Peace.

Opinion: The CCM must be weak since it targets Tindu Lissu!

All cruelty springs from weakness.”Seneca

In the United Republic of Tanzania, the grand state of Julius Nyerere and CCM. The opposition in a position, where their every move is monitored, where their every act has to be approved and nearly all utterings in public has to verified before published.

So in this world, the bulldozer, the dozing off and afraid individual President Joseph Magufuli exists. Where he has ushered in several of rules making it harder for the opposition to run their parties and even try to compete with the CCM. The state has a stranglehold on them and is chocking them by all means. To say otherwise is to be naive by all the codes, legislation and by the measures put in place by His Excellency and his brigade of loyal subjects.

That is why there are certain individuals who are getting a joint effort to undermine and silence them. One being Zitto Kabwe, the other giant in the opposition is Tindu Lissu, whose survived an assassination attempt and since then gotten treatment in Europe. For two whole years he has fought and doing what he can heal, by also giving words and telling where he is to the Parliament. Still, the same Parliament this June, called for By-Election for his Singida East Seat. Because, the Speaker claimed they didn’t know about his whereabouts. They take his healing from an assassination as a joke or what?

That is a friendly reminder, that the CCM doesn’t take kindly to opposition nor to opposition figures like Lissu. They are afraid of what he represents and what his messages is. That is why the quick call by the National Election Commission for by-election by 31st July, a short month after the Speaker called his seat up for elections on the 28th June 2019. This while knowing Lissu was receiving treatment in Belgium. Really, shows how fragile and mediocre the ego of the CCM is at the moment.

They cannot even keep it at a fair fight, but has to knock people while they are down and fighting to regain normal strength. The MP will fight for it, even from a far, but this is foolish. That he has too, when everyone knows the reason. Only the CCM and the President that takes people for fools and hope people are as ignorant as him. Because, clearly this is an ego thing and trying to mastermind him out of a seat in the Parliament.

I hope Lissu wins this again. That he conquer this obstacle and shows the CCM a little finger, as they have misjudged the public and their resilience against stupid ideas like this. This is not a show strength of the CCM, but a utter sign of weakness. That they have to aim for a guy, that is battling with scars of plot to kill him. They are so brutal and insincere, that they hope people doesn’t understand this.

That is who the CCM and Mugufuli is these days. He can only win, when he knows the other people is in a disadvantage, the CCM and Magufuli couldn’t have won this in a fair fight. They know that and we does too. Peace.
