Opinion: DP Ruto’s self-obsession comes to the headlines!
Well, the recent aftermath of the DCI Kinoti and the supposed death threats, the plot to overthrow the campaign for 2021 of Deputy President William Ruto. Only shows the world, one thing, and one thing only. That the DP Ruto is self-obsessed to a point of no return.
The juggernaut, the Cheech to the Chong, the one half of the dynamic duo of the Jubilee. Ruto. Surely knows this, but acts a loof, acts like he doesn’t mind, but surely someone cooked this report, this letter and got the authorities to question for Cabinet Secretaries and whatever amounts of MPs.
This is an acts of self-obsessions, which haven’t been seen in a while. That the DP likes to see himself as the rising star, the one and only, the upcoming boss of the Republic. Well, we have figured that out. It is not like Musalia Mudavadi or Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka seems like viable characters to take up the mantle after Uhuru. No, not even Raila Odinga, he just have to be second fiddle, that is what his dynasty does best. Being second.
Now, DP wants to do like Arap Moi, he wants to take the mantle and come out with force. He wants to go from hustler to President. He doesn’t want to dole out monies at church functions for life, he wants power and at every cost. That is why he made up this case. Made up the allegations and thought it could peddle some sympathy for cause.
However, it has backfired. He took a shot. He shot, but missed the target. He didn’t hire goons who could aim or even make it believable, just like the Hollywood movie script of the hours upon hours end at his home during Fresh Presidential Elections season. When suddenly a cross-breed of Rambo and the Terminator passed by and made the Police Force silent for hours.
Well, Ruto thought we forgot that trick, this was yet another one and it failed too. Looking like a smock and sounding a cock. Well, we couldn’t expect greatness from someone looting, thieving and eating in office, could we. Alas, we couldn’t expect that, because then he would actually have built stadiums, proper ICT research institutions, given free laptops and whatnot of promises done within two campaigns. Which by all account is amounting to hot air.
We can all just look idly by and act like nothing. This is spin, nonsense and lies, the ever growing industry of deception from the state and true to its form. We can act like it means nothing, but it was done for a purporse, a rouse and a trick. The trick wanted something out of it. Sympathy. Care and even some check if people cared for his life.
Well, the only thing we are seeing is a bunch of headlines, mind-boggling nonsense and a routine of hogwash sprinting quicker than a marathon runner. Nevertheless, life must move on.
DP Ruto will figure out another scheme tomorrow. Wonder who will do the ground work then? Surely, not the same brother of this one. He got caught and it looks ugly. Peace.
