The Fear is Real: As NRM ‘dismiss’ Besigye and Bobi Wine!

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) and its defenders, the cronies and the ones who works in- and around NRM are working hard to make Dr. Kizza Besigye and Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine into empty leaders without a vision, men who are running around spreading falsehoods and ensuring their leadership role and role models are failing.

While the NRM are doing so, be aware, that is their plan, just to make sure the NRM can rule indefinitely and misuse their power. That is why they are continue to blame the opposition, while they acted in restraint, while they apparently arrested 66,000 youths and the Arua 33. They have charged the opposition, while never giving any answer to the torturing of the opposition, neither answering to the deaths done by the authorities.

That is why this is tiring, as this whole ordeal happen because of extra-judicial killing of Hon. Ibrahim Abiriga and the contest for the deceased MP in Arua Municipality. If it wasn’t for that, this sort of play and this actions from mid-August 2018 wouldn’t been the case. That is the reality, one senseless killing has spiralled into riots, demonstrations and more deaths. Not only torture, forged charges on Opposition leaders and also activists.

Bobi Wine is no put on blast, said he is all charm and passion, but not proven leadership. However, was Museveni proven before he took power in 1986? He lied to Julius Nyerere and Milton Obote about his military prowess before the coup d’etat against Idi Amin. Therefore, I am tired of people, saying that Bobi Wine is a problem and just empty words. Museveni wasn’t much either, he wouldn’t be much if he didn’t get backers from Libya. That is why the NRM are trying to push all kinds of narrative.

Just like everyone has said Besigye doesn’t have the character to be President. He was clearly inteligent enough to establish and ensure the structure of NRM’s Movement System in the late 1980s and showed his capacity then, as well as what he has done with building the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC). Besigye cannot do anything right in the eyes of the NRM, that is because he the stark contrast to the NRM. Even if he was a previous NRM and was even in the cabinet and appointed by Museveni. That is because he has shown that he works against them. That is why he has been charged with treason, lived in exile (which is an excuse against him, even if Museveni did the same), arrested and house-arrested. This is what the NRM does to the real opposition, not how they manage Abed Bwanika

That is why Bobi Wine is now becoming the same mantle piece, he is under the same attacks, the use of his past. Just like Besigye has gotten lot of crap for his exile and return, even if Museveni did the same. Now Bobi Wine will be attacked for his use of weed, because that is clear violation of role model. Not like a killer and liar isn’t a problem? Because Museveni is the holy of the holy and his mischief is cool, but when others does it, it is a giant problem.

No matter if Bobi Wine and Besigye was choir boys all their lives, if they had been bank-clerks and not done any harm to a fly, the NRM would make them into devils, who lit up Jesus on the Cross. That is because the NRM are using their tactics to make them intolerant and ignorant, people who just seek power, but will not use it properly. Not like the NRM over three decades has much to show. That is another scenario, but not fiction, it is actual reality. This is so boring to repeat, but if the NRM was so great, why are the such a lack of development after three decades? You have had a generation to make a difference, but it still looks like Obote, but with a Iphone(!!). That is all. Peace.

Opinion: Circles of weird arguments against Bobi Wine from Mwenda!

The Independent Magazine editor Andrew Mwenda continues his rants against the opposition, as Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine is returning to Uganda today. This was to be expected, as his voice and his platform is now a praising space for President Museveni and his National Resistance Movement (NRM).

Therefore, if you have followed it, Mwenda continues on a pattern he has done for years. I am discredited him as long too. Because someone has too in the field of platform and that people are spreading his messages against the opposition. However, what is special today is how flawed his argument is, as he don’t see the margins of error today.

The key aspects of his argument:

In his early days, President Yoweri Museveni used to make an very insightful point. He would argue that African societies are characterized by the dominance of backward forces. These propel backward elements with parochial interests into positions of power. Once in power, these forces in turn promote retrogressive policies thereby perpetuating the vicious cycle of backwardness”(…) “We have left the political struggle to the likes of Bobi Wine and his intolerant and anti democratic riffraff base without a clue of what to do with change. This crisis is both in the government and the opposition. The more enlightened forces of the NRM gave way long ago to wheeler dealers. Most went into silence or quit government and joined the private sector. In opposition, Besigye was left with the likes of Ingrid Turinawe and Mwijukye to build the party which had turned into a cult. It is not that the enlightened forces didn’t try to fight. In both the NRM and the FDC, they lost the fight. It seems our politics is such that the riffraffs always win. And so there is proof of Museveni’s argument about the vicious cycle of backwardness, which he himself is caught up in. We are backward not because of our leaders. Rather our leaders are backward because backward social forces dominate our societies. How do we break this cycle” (Andrew M. Mwenda – ‘Bobi Wine’s international media embarrassment’ 19.09.2018).

When he says Uganda is backwards leadership, which Museveni stated in his early days of his reign, how bad is his leadership if that backwardness is still there? Museveni has had 3 decades to configure, amend and ensure changes? Then, later you say the NRM are enlightened forces, but how come the backwardness is still there, as the NRM are the leaders and the rulers of the day? Which it has been doing for 32 years?

You cannot call out something and say it is backward, while saying the leaders isn’t. You cannot blame someone else for the cycle, as the President and his cronies has had control, not the opposition, who has worked outside of the chambers of power. That is something Mwenda knows, and knows this perfectly well. He is trying to take the fish out of water, but claiming the fish can live on land. Museveni and NRM can enlighten society, but it still backwards. If they really had enlighten the public and the stopped the backwardness, however, it is still there? How come?

What your saying about Museveni and NRM sounds more like a cult, where they have the enlightenment and wisdom, that the others doesn’t have. The secrets are within the reign of Museveni and you can only get it if you join NRM. The Scientology Church of Uganda aka NRM. Museveni is the L.R. Hubbard and has his Mustard Seed. That is the one the seed that Mwenda has swallowed whole and trying to configure to the public.

Mwenda is going backwards forwards and showing mental fatigue. He even claimed that Bobi Wine was lying about Torture in this text, but I didn’t care for adding that. Because who is he claim that? How dare he insult people’s intelligence, other than his own?

Time for Mwenda to go to church, not a Christian one, not Scientology either, but praise his God, Museveni and his own congregation. Where Mwenda will praise him for his vision and his achievements, and ensure everyone else are radical bastards of ill-faith, because they are not praising the righteous one. Peace.

Rwanda: P5 welcomes the release of political prisoner Mrs. Ingabire Victorie Umuhoza (16.09.2018)

South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA): Press Statement (16.09.2018)

Opinion: Victorie Ingabire Umuhoza is freed, but Kagame’s impunity still continues!

It is sort of welcoming that President Paul Kagame has released 2000 political prisoners. However, there is no reason to really celebrate it. Not like Kagame is reforming his ways or trying to open up for multi-party democracy, even as there is one Opposition MP in the Parliament after the recent election. Not like that person’s voice will cause a revolution.

We should know that the freedom of Victorie Ingabire Umuhoza, the opposition leader and President of FDU-Inkingi, which was arrested and detained on terrorism charges, because she challenged Kagame before the August 2010 Presidential Elections. She was later arrested in October 2010, since then she was detained on the charges explained below.

The Applicant avers that on 10 February, 2010, she received a summons requiring her to appear before a judicial police officer at the Criminal Investigation Department (ClD). According to her, she was accused of committing the offence of aiding and abetting terrorism, punishable under Article 12 of Law No. 45/2009 of 9 September, 2008, on the punishment of the offence of terrorism. She states that the allegations were “exclusively based on contacts she is said to have had with some defectors of the Forces Ddmocratiques de Liberation du Rwanda (FDLR), with a view to establishing an armed branch of the political party called Forces Democratiques Unifiees, of which she is President”. She further submits that she was also charged with “spreading the ideology of genooide, sectarianism and divisionism” (African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights – ‘In the matter of Ingabire Victorie Umuhoza V. Republic of Rwanda – Judgment’ (24.11.2017).

Even if Ingabire Umuhoza now is released and allowed to do political work for FDU-Inkingi, the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) still owns the Republic and Kagame is not limiting his powers. He still controls it all and everyone else, he does this for brownie points and making him look better. Even as that is not the reality. If it was so, the torture, the treatment of Ingabire and everything that happen to her while incarcerated. There was even reports of lacking of food and other acts of ill-treatment of her. She is certainly not alone in those acts of impunity against citizens behind bars. That is why, we cannot just celebrate the 2000 liberated political prisoners.

That is because we cannot give this away and give Kagame the props. Because then I am playing in the hands of him and I cannot do that. His able to play around the board of Arsenal, but the rest of us knows Red Cards, when we see them.

She was arrested for eight years on forged charges, that was the rest of them too. If not, why could Kagame suddenly show mercy to them all? If he didn’t know that he was the man behind their demise and the reason for their pain. Kagame knows this and trying to get positive news behind him. Even if they are not saying he is the reason for their demise. Which all of the pardoned prisoners should say, as the political prisoners most of them was.

Ingabire was the biggest one of the pardoned prisoners, there are still plenty of them behind bars. The other one that has challenged Kagame for Presidential Elections was Diane Rwigara, that is currently still behind bars and the state has sold of the properties of the family. While also arrested several of her relatives. So, it is not like the RPF and Kagame have changed, because they are still acting with impunity. That should never be forgotten, it is not like these pardons has changed the reality of what the Kagame regime is. Peace.

Museveni: He inherited the Republic in 1986, but in 2018, its his Civil Service!

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni must have misspoke or said something that wasn’t particularly true on Friday 14th September 2018, when he was donating funds at NAADS in Kawempe, Kampala. I will show why I am claiming he is lying, because the Civil Service of 2018 is all his. This isn’t what he got from Milton Obote or Idi Amin Dada. True, some parts of the institutions and the protocols that is not revised is still there, but the people are there are most likely another generation, than when he came to power. In a country where the 48% of the public is between 0-14 years old, also 28% is between 25-65 years old. Lastly, only 2%, which is over 65 years old. That means, the ones that he inherited is in the range of the 2 % and most of them isn’t working anymore. As life expectency in the Republic is about 58 years old. When you been ruling for 32 years it is only the young part of the brigade that is still working and it should be very few that is inherited.

Claims he inherited Civil Service:

““I inherited thugs. These are your children that you put in the civil service and I found them there,”Museveni said in Kawempe on Friday afternoon. “Don’t blame me for corrupt civil servants. I inherited them from past governments. Since you have now disowned them, I can now sack them for being rebels inside my government.”” (Kenneth Kazibwe – ‘Don’t blame me for corrupt officials, I inherited them – Museveni’ 15.09.2018 link: http://nilepost.co.ug/2018/09/15/dont-blame-me-for-corrupt-officials-i-inherited-them-museveni/).

That is why I have hard time believing he inherited the Civil Service as it is, because most of them has only served his government and under his reign. As most of the citizens are born while he ruled. Therefore, the will be minority of civil servants that also served under Obote or Yusuf Lule. That is just a mere reality, that the President knows, but he has to blame the dead to give himself life. Just like a Dracula.

By statistics alone between 2012 and 2016, the whole civil service employed from 281,000 to 308,000, this is stats from the UBOS 2017 report ‘ STATISTICAL ABSTRACT’. In all margins of error, I doubt all advance aged people are working as civil servants, especially when only 60,000 of 2016 was working in Local Government for instance. That, is why I have hard time believing his Civil Service is inherited at this point. If we’re talking mid-1990s or 1980s. He could have gotten away with it, but this time.

All the Commissions, all the Ministries and all the created districts are all his creations, combined with the Universal Primary Education and all the other government organizations created since the inception of his rule. That is why President Museveni is lying, not only by the default of the age of the workforce in the civil service, but also in the state creation of organizations since 1986. If he uses history against the public. I will use basic math and common sense against him.

He didn’t inherit the civil service as it is in 2018. That is the civil service that is following his guidelines and his rules, they are enacted because of him and his legislation. This is all resembling the system and government he has promoted for three decades. The ones that was there in 1986 are most likely drinking waragin in a village somewhere, if not already dwelling in a grave. Therefore, it is sinister to say he inherited thugs in the civil service. When most of them is gone and the ones there is his grand-kids and the post-1986 generation. Peace.

South Sudan: Kiir and Museveni celebrated the fresh peace-deal with flying in 1300 trained snipers(!!)

There are something special, that there are signing of the revitalized Agreement for the Resolution of the Conflict in South Sudan of 2018, as the failure of the 2015 agreement are lingering. As the South Sudanese stakeholders has fought in-between them since June 2016.

What is significant is that the Ugandan counterpart has been so involved with soldiers and military equipment, as they have also involved themselves in the midst of the peace agreements. That seems like counter-punching, as Yoweri Kaguta Museveni are both bringing weapons and at the same time talking peace. Something that isn’t fitting.

While President Salva Mayardiit Kiir of the Sudan People’s Liberation Army/Movement (SPLA/M) or the Transitional Government of National Unity (TGoNU) have accepted this and used his friendship with Museveni, who has promised to help even with arms in the middle of arms embargo. Therefore, we can wonder why this news are coming, if the SPLA/M or Kiir was serious about a peace-deal, why have he hired Museveni to train snipers?

Kampala/Addis Ababa, September 15, 2018 (SSNA) — Ugandan-trained South Sudanese snipers have arrived in Juba on Saturday night, a former Ugandan intelligence officer told the South Sudan News Agency (SSNA) in Kampala. The new allegation comes two days after South Sudan’s warring factions signed a power-sharing deal” (…) “James further disclosed that Kiir and Museveni secretly flew the 1300 new snipers to Juba Saturday night and that the snipers are now divided into two groups strategically stationed around Juba. He also stated that new South Sudanese soldiers could soon arrive in Warrap and Buliisa district” (South Sudan News Agency – ‘1300 snipers arrive in Juba as South Sudanese celebrate peace deal’ 15.09.2018 link: http://southsudannewsagency.org/index.php/2018/09/15/1300-snipers-arrive-in-juba-as-south-sudanese-celebrate-peace-deal/).

It is a massive amount to have 1300 newly trained snipers to come as they government are celebrating the peace-deal. Seems more like they have trained new brigades to await their enemies to relent and relax their positions, before firing on all cylinders. Because, why spend fortunes and pay the Uganda People’s Defense Force for weapons training and flying them in, right after signing a new peace deal.

For me that is weird, as the trust levels should not be to get new highly trained brigades, but show prosperity for the newly created peace-agreement, as building up the measures within it. Kiir could have shown capacity and measures where he was seriously thinking of peace. As there are already reported breaches of cease-fire in Yei. Therefore, not like Kiir are progressing, more like looking for his opposition to lay low and find their weakness, while building yet another brigade. Stalling for time.

It is not a sign of confidence with 1300 newly trained snipers. That is more a sign of worry, as the UPDF and South Sudan Defence Force (SSDF), the former Sudanese People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) are still active together, in both arms and training. As Museveni are participating in the mediation and sharping the knives behind closed doors.

I have never trusted the man, there was talk of 300 trained snipers, but now the total number are estimated to be 1300. That is a giant amount of highly trained killers for the government. They wouldn’t have this specialized soldiers, if they didn’t see it fit. They are clearly preparing for something, which we don’t know. Peace.
