It is just convenient how the Jubilee and the modern day KANU government profess to the rule of law, the government who themselves are critical of the courts, the ones who has barred judges from appearing and trying to muffle with them since September 2017. It is weird and unique that these gentlemen speaks of the concern of rule of law. When they are ordering unlawful and unjust actions countering the rule of law. When they are in charge misusing the rule of law to take away the rights and privileges, even their citizenship, because they can. That Deputy President William Ruto should instead show his invoices to his palace, instead of talking about the rule of law yesterday. It is insulting to common sense and their codes of conduct.
“All of us must submit to the Constitution of Kenya and the rule of law, not the rule of men” (…) “If there are people who respect the rule of law, then it’s us in Jubilee. We have a track record of abiding by the rule of law and we will continue doing so” (…) “This democratically elected government under the leadership of President Kenyatta will continue to be run on the basis of the constitution and the rule of law” (Kipsang, 2018).
I don’t know about you, but how about all the corruption scandals? How about all the men and woman who has been killed, the extra-judicial killings? Why there are, so many crimes not solved and even looked into? How can this KANU be seen as one for the rule of law?
That is just to begin with and the use of police to harass and detain people without warrants. Taking away gun-licenses and passports without any jurisdiction, That is the rule of law, taking people from meetings and arresting them, stop journalists and bloggers, confiscate their digital equipment and never show the seal of orders. That is the state of affairs. The so called rule of laws in Kenya these day.
The records of accomplishment of Ruto and Kenyatta is not, what they talk, but how they act. How they act and their words are opposite. They speak of peace, but go on total war. The Jubilee speak of following procedure, but when coming to opposition, they go all in without needing to follow the law or the Constitution. They defy the courts, they harass even the judges in public and even house-arrested one at one point last year. Therefore, it is not as if Jubilee is caring much about it. That is why it’s insulting to hear and see that Ruto speak like this.
If Ruto and Kenyatta cares about the constitution, they wouldn’t have sent Miguna Miguna packing to Canada. They would have sent him to the courts and he had to answer for his “crimes”. The same would have happen to Ndii who suddenly faced the law and was arrested without warrants and warning. That is just the state of affairs under Jubilee.
Everyone has to abide the law, except the ones loyal enough to Ruto and Kenyatta, if your not, then you end behind bars for any reasons they can pinpoint at you. They just don’t care, the state and the ones responsible haven’t the need to address it. They can just do it. Like they have done and continue to do.
Therefore, I get tired of insults to common sense, but that is the way of Ruto. That is why he has water all around his home. Since he is afraid of people storming it like a medieval king. Not wanting to have people suddenly barricading his doors and windows. He needs an army to be safe and needs enough security detail as a size of giant village. If not, why did he build a house like that?
Well, that was outside the point, but Ruto. Don’t talk about rule of law, when it doesn’t matter to you or your regime. For you and your elite, the rule of law is a toilet paper that you need to wipe your ass with, but has not existential value or need. It is just there as a grand component, that can be of use when you want to get rid of shit. Peace.

Seemingly the United States Department of Treasury has worked on a report that explains the possible impact of the sanctions that the Congress would have put on the Russian Federation. Instead, this will not happen, because the President Donald J. Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. They are afraid of rocking the boat and actually do anything about it. Like they have traded their soul for loyalty to Kremlin, instead of working for the American government. It is seemingly so, since they have not been able to follow the Congress attitude and neither with the general opinion of the people of the United States. Who has loyalty to the republic and not the Russian Federation.
“(U) The modifications to Directive 1 made on September 29, 2017 were required Ьу Section 223(Ь) of CAATSA, and as required Ьу that section, took effect on September 29, 2017, the authorized tenor for new debt issued on or after November 28, 2017 is 14 days or less. U.S. persons are therefore prohibited fоr dealing in new debt issued bу, on behalf of, or for the benefit of persons operating in Russia’s financial sector named under Directive 1, their property, or their interests in property if the debt’s maturity period exceeds 14 days. Other tenors apply to debt issued between July 16, 2014 and November 28, 2017. Directive 1 also includes а prohibition on dealing in new equity issued Ьу, on behalf of, or for the benefit of persons operating in Russia’s financial sector named under Directive 1, their property, or their interests in property. This report does not further address the equity prohibitions of Section 242 of CAATSA” (Department of the Treasury, 2018).
“Expanding Directive 1 to include dealings in new Russian sovereign debt and the full range of related derivatives would likely raise borrowing costs for Russia; prompt Russian authorities to alter their fiscal and monetary strategies; put downward pressure on Russian economic growth; destabilize financial markets, including Russia’s repurchase market, which is critical for overnight bank funding; increase strain on Russia’s banking sector; and lead to Russian retaliation against U.S. interests” (Department of the Treasury, 2018).
Seemingly after this, the US Senate and House wanted the Russian Federation to feel more effect of the sanctions. The reasons for why you have sanctions in the first place, to hurt the ones sanctioned. If not the sanctions are not working and not stopping the sanctioned individual or company, even nations so they have to change behavior. However, at this stage the United States seems more on the defense. Than actually thinking of hurting the Federation who acted with swift activity in their election.
The United States should act and use tactics that hurt Russia. Especially, since they have used all sort of ploy to manipulate the electorate and elections towards a candidate of their choosing. If that isn’t interfering and insulting to the US. Then nothing is, the US should act upon it and use more sanctions to add more leverage. So that Russian Federation actually acts differently.
It is strange that the United States doesn’t want to use their tools and their tricks to hurt Russia. Especially after what they did in 2016 and what sort of knowledge they do have on the Russian interference. That was the reason why President Barrack Obama in the first place put new sanctions on Russia. Now, President Trump won’t do it and cannot stomach to pursuit the wishes of Congress and actually sanction Russia. That is weird, especially if United States wants leverage over Russian counterparts. That would seem natural. Especially if Trump is the deal-maker he talked about during campaigns, but not shown since.
However, it seems with day after day, that Russians has Trump cornered, since he will never blame or act upon Russia. He will attack anyone else, but not look into what the Russians did with elections. There is to many questions, but if the Americans had a possibility to make a difference and hurt Kremlin. The added sanctions would. Trump seems like indifference and its rare. Peace.

The Jubilee and the Uhuru Kenyatta are already in a slippery slope politically and aggressively as a Dictator, who force himself on the public and uses the government institutions to himself. While promising empty promises with the 4 pillar agenda. That his government are planning to grow debt, you can wonder why, since the growing debt makes the state misuse the revenue, as already now the 20%. That is one fifth of the revenue going directly to pay debt. If that isn’t sounding worrying, then the state should find other ways to gain revenue and not take another Eurobond. Especially with the political climate and the Moody’s downgrade, who is a signal to the world that the premiums and points on the dollar will be worse.
However, Kenyatta isn’t pounding on the people. That is why the news of new Eurobond isn’t positive news for the Republic. Just read the report in Bloomberg, before collected information on the growing debt.
“The ministry also chose Standard Chartered Bank Plc and Standard Bank Group’s Kenyan unit Stanbic Holdings to help with the sale, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the appointment hasn’t been made public yet. Treasury Secretary Henry Rotich didn’t answer two calls to his mobile Wednesday, while Treasury Director of Budget Geoffrey Mwau declined to comment when asked about planned sale on Tuesday. The Treasury will seek to raise $1.5 billion to $3 billion in bonds, with a tenor of up 15 years, according to two of the people. JPMorgan, Citigroup, Standard Chartered and Stanbic declined to comment” (Changole & Martin, 2018).
To take the numbers from Focus Economics who said the Public Debt of GDP in 2012 was 42%, the first year of Uhuru Kenyatta it become 44,5%. In 2014 it had been risen to 45,9% and after the first Eurobond, the rising debt in 2015 was 50,4% and in 2016 it became 53,5%. Therefore, the estimates of the new bonds will make it rise in 2018/19 until about 60%. This combined with the state will pay 20% interest of all revenue to the old debt in 2018. Those has also risen from 13,7% in 2012/13. That is why the state is paying more and more back to creditors in interest, than actually serving citizens with needed services.
“The Eurobond scandal still looms over Jubilee’s government and remains an unresolved mystery in the Country’s treasury records. Corruption scandals also sift down to the County governments with many county governors performing badly in the last 5 years. Many of these leaders have also been accused of corruption and misappropriation of funds meant for development projects” (Konrad Adenauer Stifung, 2017).
You can wonder why the JP Morgan who was implicated in the first Eurobonds want to repeat a corrupt saga again and take responsibility for making the Jubilee able to eat directly from loans they have provided. So even as the elections of September 2017, the government still couldn’t verify the usage of the previous Eurobond. Therefore, the International Banks and Bilateral Monetary Organizations shouldn’t help this government, as they have triggered straight looting of the state. If it wasn’t so, then the state should have the invoices and proof of the used funds from the other loans. However, that is day dreaming and possibly dropped into the artificial dam around the home of Deputy President William Ruto.
For now, we can question the Kenyatta and the Jubilee government will to take up new loans. Because this will add debt, growing rates and because of the political climate, the cost of the loans and the interests rates. The presidency and the analysts at the Ministry of Finance should care and be worried, but I think they are eating of the plate too. So they don’t care about the next term or the future. Since they are making it worse for the coming generations to repay debts and they mature, and the state are losing points on the dollar. Because of the ruthless actions of the Jubilee against the opposition. That will also cost citizens, since they are now paying more for the second Eurobonds. Peace.

The Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) and Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) are still doing whatever they can to quell and silence the provinces. This is just a few brief months since last State of Emergency. Clearly, the Oromo and Amhara provinces are a handful, but instead of listening and actually taking it into account. They are planning a hostile takeover and actually being an occupying force in its own nation. That is what the Aghazi Squad and mercenaries are doing in these regions, will not hit afar or even Tigray, it will be Oromo and Amhara, where the demonstrations, the shutdowns and the protests has been lit.
The Addis Ababa Central Government and the Council of Ministers are doing a fatal mistake, the demonstrations has shown effect already. They have gotten many of their leaders and people of impact in the community back again. These has been the voices of the opposition. Now they are tried again to be silenced by the leadership. With a force that will be bloody and will be direct countering the recent measures and trying to soften the approach. Instead, the Council of Ministers are now going into warfare in the regions instead of trying reconciliation.
“Addis Ababa, February 17, 2018 (FBC) –The State of Emergency declared yesterday will remain in effect for six months, said Ethiopia’s Defense Minister Siraj Fegessa. In his press briefing today, the Minister said the the decree will be tabled to the House of People’s Representatives with 15 days. According to the Minister, the State of Emergency was needed to protect the constitution and constitutional order. He also dismissed as false rumors of military takeover of the government. Siraj said a Command Post has already been set up following the declaration of the State of Emergency by the Council of Ministers yesterday. The decree prohibits preparing, printing and circulating via media writings that could cause disturbance and suspicion among people as well as displaying or publicizing signs which could stir up violence. The decree allows law enforcement bodies to detain without court warrant any individual who orchestrated, led and organized as well as took part and suspected of taking part in criminal acts against the constitution and constitutional order. The individual will face justice after necessary investigation. In order to seize materials which were utilized or could be used to commit crimes, they could search any houses, areas and vehicles as well as stop, ask and search a person without a court warrant, the Minister noted” (Fana Broadcasting Company – ‘State of Emergency remains in effect for six months, says Defense Minister’ 17.02.2018).
So expect that the regions of Amhara and Oromia to be like warzones, where the police and military will look for the ones behind the protests. Be there and act like foreign mercenaries, not respecting and spreading fear. Being there arresting, detaining and flogging people on the street. They have already killed kids during religious festivals in the regions. I expect killings in Bahir Dar, Gondar/Gonder, Dire Dawa and Awasa. That the expected ones where the government forces will go all out, as they have done in the past.
They will look into civilians houses, does random raids and stop people on the street. As they are passing through, that is how they made many political prisoners. That is why there are already lingering 20,000 prisoners because of the latest State of Emergency from 2016 to 2017.
So when I saw what the Defence Minister Fegessa said what he ordered today, it was much more of the same of the previous ones. Taking away all freedoms, this will effect the regions where the protests been in. Not like the Council of Ministers will kill civilians in Aksum or Mek’ele. Neither directly in Gambela, unless Kenyan or South Sudanese Cattle Rustling between the porous borders there.
So now the state and the mercenaries will be back, their violations of the freedoms, liberty and personal rights will be on hold. Because the state fears their voices in the streets, they fear their feet bouncing on the roads and shutting down all the businesses. Their wise closing of the main roads and stopping transports into Addis Ababa. That has been efficient demonstrations by the protesters who has hurt EPRDF and the pride of TPLF.
However, let’s hope the TPLF will not get away with the violence, the desperation and the inception of possible destruction of themselves. Since they are not able to see, they are shooting themselves in the foot. Last time around, the arrests and the violence, ignited the demonstrations and protests. Therefore, it might grow even more and no amount of soldiers, mercenaries and hired guns cannot kill them all. They cannot detain them all.
The Ministers of the Council, the EPRDF and TPLF has really forgotten their place, now ushering more violence, instead of serving the regions. That is proven by this. Therefore, don’t expect the Oromo and Amhara to silence themselves over this. Last time there was burning foreign investments in the region. To hurt the buttom-line of the wealthy in Addis. That might happen again, while also prison unrest and big demos at Universities. There might roadblocks and other public display that show the force of the public. Even if the army will try to settle the score.
Let’s hope the EPRDF get some sense, though they are instead digging their own grave, while the protesters are already gaining momentum. Doesn’t seem like they are getting it. Peace.

Now that President Jacob Zuma resigned on the 14th February 2018, there is questions to what it will lead too. On the 16th February the African National Congress (ANC) and the Members of Parliament sworn-in Cyril Ramaphosa as their new President. Who after long days of drama all week was waiting for Zuma to step down. So Ramaphosa could become his successor. He did so and resigned so that he couldn’t be impeached by the Parliament on the 15th February, as Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) Julius Malema, who wanted that vote and the Parliament Speaker blocked Democratic Alliance (DA) Mmusi Maimane, who wanted to dissolve the Parliament because of this. So, the opposition didn’t get their will from the ANC. But the years of fighting Zuma is now done, though it is starting to shift. Still, the opposition should want the judiciary and authorities to investigate Zuma and his associates futher. Not for retribution, but to make sure justice is served.
This week is evidence of how fickle the power is and sudden the reach of power goes away. The Executive Branch that Zuma hold from 2009 until 14th February 2018, one year before his term finished. Proves the volatile state of grandest power. That is also because Zuma and his comrades misused their time, instead of serving the people. They we’re more preoccupied with shady dealings and using state tenders to get kickbacks and graft. The reporting and the revelations has unraveled all sort of scandals that has tormented the presidency. Even if the President had powers to stop investigations and arrests. He still couldn’t stop the embarrassment of his shady dealings and his occupation with securing good deals for friends of his.
This has been evident with the power of the Gupta investor family who has started dozens of businesses, in all sort of markets that are based on government tenders, state owned enterprises and licenses. This being media, energy, minerals, banking and so on. All from Sahara Computers, Oakbay Investments, Oakbay Resources, ANN7 and New Age Newspaper. This is just the well known ones, not the other whose made with other investment portfolios, who surely has made some questionable tradings in the Republic. Since the Gupta based company has used Transnet, Ministry of Agriculture and Eskom for instance to get grand deals, but not delivering due diligence to the SOE’s.
So the Gupta are now in trouble as the Executive Privilege of Zuma is fallen. His basis of power is gone, as Ramaphosa came there and he hasn’t needed the support or supporting Zuma to be a big shot in ANC. That is why the ones who stood close and was appointed by Zuma himself or by help of Gupta’s can now wait their judgment.
The ones that can miss their places in the world are the likes of Bogani Bongo, Mosebenzi Zwane, Lynne Brown, Bathbile Dlamini, Malusi Gigaba, David Mahlobo, Fikile Mbalula, Nomvula Mokonyane, Nathi Mthethwa and Des Van Rooyen. All of these ministers and such can expect to be fired or should resign.
We should expect many of the appointed leaders in both the judiciary and in the ombudsman or public protector to be re-assigned somewhere else, as their independence has been within the reach of the President. They didn’t start using their power until Zuma had lost his power. The SAPS, Hawks and Scorpions should have come quicker against the Gupta and Zuma associates. Also, the SARS should follow the methods into the abuses done, so there are so many loose ties with shady deals, that needs to implicate more people, than most likely Ramaphosa want to see in bracelets. Since the ANC let the corruption happen over the years, not only because of Zuma, but because they wanted to eat.
We know that the power is fickle as Duduzane Zuma and Ajay Gupta are running from the law and there is 1 million rand on their head from the Police. This shows how quickly they went from rich heroes into fugitives. Two weeks ago, even if the public was tired of the stealing form the state, they we’re still Teflon. Now they are Bugsy Malone on the streets.
The South African electorate should hope that the investigations and that the people who has stolen from the state reserves are taken into custody and the pays for their crimes. All these corrupt activity and the hackwork done to make sure the Zuma family could get wealthy and the associates who wanted the same. Zuma should also worry that he could be indicted now and actually pay for crimes. He has enough counts and alleged crimes on him. So he could if charged and could serve time for it. Now that his presidency is over. Unless, he flees with stolen gains to his mansion in Dubai.
The Gupta family knows their in trouble, the Hawks raid and the price on the head of the family members can all meet all the different arms of justice. That the businesses and the tenders are annulled and the forged profitable businesses possibly fail. As other businessmen and other investors who actually not planning to eat government funds, but actually service delivery. Zuma knew he used them, because he would benefit from the agreements. That is why he changed financial minister to fit the deals between Zuma and his associates in Gupta businesses.
Let’s us see how far they can fall, how much punishment the state will give them, as they can now be served by the authorities. Even Zuma can now be touched. That is proven with his fleeing family member Duduzane. Now, let see if they will all fall from the cliff or will be left with scratches. We can hope that Ramaphosa and the judiciary are able together with the investigators to build cases that can actually verify the State of Capture and Denton’s Report. So that the state can follow the shady deals of Gupta’s, I am sure there are more than what has been reported by whistleblowers. The state should do what it can and scrutinize every single tender given to businesses connected to the Gupta family. Peace.
