Capt. Francis Babu speaks out on 30 years of NRM (Youtube-Clip)

“26th January has for long been a contentious day especially within sections of the opposition who claim that NRA’s assent to power in 1986 following five years of guerilla warfare against a legitimate government cannot be labeled as Liberation Day for the country.  Within the ruling party itself, the last decade has seen many voices depart from the near religious attachment to the struggle to a more liberal stance seemingly cognizant of the socio-political and economic aspirations of the time.  Capt. Francis Babu is a longtime NRM diehard but as you’ll hear in the following report, the veteran politician says 30 years is too long for an individual but a drop in the Ocean for a country.
What does he mean? WBS TV has had a one-on-one with captain Babu on his take on the day and its significance” (WBS TV Uganda, 2016).
